Ray's and Robby's equipment,which amplifiers did they used?

Hi vince thanks for being so cool answering all the questions.I want to ask you about the amplifiers ray used with his organ and the bass organ and same from robbie? And one more for robby did he used sounds effects like fuzz pedals or something like that or he used the distortion from the amplifiers?!?!? Hope you can answer my questions.

Robby did use a Fuzz Tone. He also had a Wa Wa pedal. He used a Fender tape echo machine when that was wanted.

The Acoustic amps had a nice reverb unit built in - better than most.

He was not really involved with a lot of effects. Bottle necks were used on occastion. That big slide on Hello I Love you was bottle neck.

They really did not want to get into the use of a lot of effects that could not be easily played on stage in live performance.

It is my pleasure to answer all the questions people ask. I think that it is important that the real knowledge be preserved in more than just impersonal photos.

You know that knowledge - and experience - dies with the holder. Think of Von Braun who had all the knowledge regarding rockets that could be had up to his death. Then he died and it all went with him. All that was left was the theory and test result in the books. But the experience was gone.

Wright Brothers, The builders of great bridges and tall buildings all the pioneers took the experience - the empiracle knowledge - withthem when they dies.

Can I leave the Legacy of the on and off stage experience and skills to you people? Is it safe? will you carry on?

You all began as collectors of performances. Now be collectors of what made that happen.

I have been reading the history of the commentary about Riders and the various people why say - it is there - and there are other - It is Not.

Now I have an idea. Maybe it is a bad one - like like playing a benefit for Mike Lavesque - BUT

What if you SERIOUS collectors got together - I mean co-operation wothout jealousy - and got all the materials of all the Doors performances together Date by Date, got them cleaned up digitally got them in reasonable condition and created a history of Doors Live Performances - Start to finish. Now that would be a collection worth some real $$ to the holders of the holdings. I cannot think of all the numbers of performances that were recorded for the Absolutely Live album - Many as I remember. Any venue on that album was recorded in it's entirety. Andrew Hawley has really good copies of my original Big 3, There are board recordings of New Orleans, someone has Dallas. Europ isd likely to be in the Granada archives, Isle of Wright exists from a board.

All of the Other Voices performances were on tape through a board.

Something must exist from the Whiskey, London Fog. Nothing from Mexico though.

Just a thought. Likely a bad one.
