Neil left this world

Post by Silver Forest »

May he rest in peace.

He was one of the best of us. Sure, he was on the right time and in the right place, exhibiting full professional competences to be chosen. But at that time he was the personification of one of the best adventures of human race, ever. As Carl Sagan said, it was one of the times our race did something extremely well. We went out good to something that seemed out of our capabilities. America surpassed what seemed to be the reasonable limits, and developed a giant, collective adventure. And for a few days we all, as human race, lived collectively as one, suspended between the risk, the dream and the wonder. This is what human race should be all about.

May others assume your legacy and return to the stars. Mars is waiting for us. I hope I will live to see this.

Rest in peace.

We all watched it as it unfolded on our small screen TVs in 1969...

Neil...A Star dancer.

Out there on the edge of things
He would be freelancing
In the midnight sprinkled sky
He would open up his hands and go
Stardancing

For Neil Armstrong, the rocket man!

This was released by Capitol in 1969 in tribute to Neil Armstrong.

"Armstrong" by John Stewart

Should have been a hit...Stewart's voice chokes me up..what a voice.
