I've been getting into a real dark and heavy US band called Acid Bath. Most of their material is probably too heavy for this forum's taste but they have some lovely more acoustic-sounding songs amongst the onslaught. Their lyrics are dark but poetic and the frontman gets compared to Jim Morrison frequently.
This song is from their debut and is called The Scream of the Butterfly (now where have I heard that before?). They're obviously big Doors fans, they have another song with the lyrics "Rape the mother, kill the father" which is another Doors reference for sure.
