If New York is as cold as I expect, I may not notice, as Los Angeles has been a bit nippy at night, with the temp. dropping to 45F last night…Brrrrrrrr…..! Now, that’s nothing to Canadians (and people from Cleveland), but in L.A., that’s front page news, with people already suggesting the Governor have Bush declare California eligible for natural disaster federal funds. me? I just put on a thick winter coat and deal with it. A little Bushmills and I’m set, know what I mean?

So, as I write this it’s about 8 am Thursday morning and I’m having tea about 200 ft. from the beach so it’s a little cold but not as cold as last night, since I am sitting outside at a table.

We head to the airport in less than an hour for a 5 1/2-hour flight to the east coast for 2 shows in Brooklyn. Although the shows are in Brooklyn, our hotel is in manhattan (lower eastside) so I have my fingers crossed that there won’t be a transit strike, for our sake at least. That would be terrible!

A funny thing happened at rehearsal Tuesday. When Rusty and I arrived at the singer’s house, he and Dave Chapple were eating Fish and Chips from “H. Salt”, which is a California chain. I guess they couldn’t wait for the UK, you think?
