“Day 22: from Philly,PA to Columbus, OH.”
August 15 2002
We (Daddyo, Traci, Rusty and myself) left Philadelphia around noon and hit some absolutely wacky traffic, which delayed us by about an hour…but then we got going on the Penn. Turnpike for like forever and rode that sucker all the way to Ohio. Not alot to see or talk about. But I can say that when we checked in our hotel, the guy asked if we were magazine salesmen. Daddyo told him, no, we weren’t magazine salesmen. He then said, “Oh, you must be musicians then.” I do not get the connection, but then again, I don’t really hang out in Columbus Ohio either, now do I?
So we went and got some beers and some food and rusty and I watched a little of SEX IN THE CITY, which I really couldn’t say if it was good or bad. My friend, Michelle, says it’s a good show and this was my first time seeing it so the jury is still out. I’ll watch it again and then make a fair judgment. Well, there really isn’t much to do in this town. However, there were some guys (18 or 19?) in the lot next door reviving their engines and looking under each other’s hood of their cars. Sort of like that movie, The Fast and the Furious. Now, the only reason I know this is because I watched my 10-year-old nephew, Brandon, for a whole weekend and he watched that movie non-stop. But I’m not a good judge of really dumb movies so I won’t comment on that stupid peice of crap, ok? Besides, I’m tired and it’s time for bed.
