As most friends and fans of LOVE are aware, Arthur’s very Ill and of course, his Doctor’s bills ain’t cheap one bit. There, I believe, will be some sort of organized benefit in some form or other, by people who have worked with us and Arthur in some form or another over the years. Baby Lemonade is in no way involved with this function but obviously supports any move to help Arthur.

Chapple, Daddyo, Rusty, and myself got together yesterday to discuss some of this, as we want to lend our help but really can’t commit to people and events we aren’t in control of, but want all LOVE fans and friends to know we will play a show (or shows) in the LA and OC area in the near future of Love material and will give all monies we make directly to Arthur Lee. I think people would enjoy it and it would go towards helping out the situation, in our own way.

That said, we also encourage all musicians who love the music and the man to create their own benefit in their own town and donate the proceeds, if they wish to help. As Arthur so perfectly sang it, we ARE free and we DO want our freedom.
